Our wood signs are made with painted MDF backing. The backing is encased in a dado cut into the frame (i.e not stapled to the frame). We use 3/4" thick x 1-1/8" deep pine or spruce. The letters will be made from 1/8" MDF. THe letters will be pre-painted, then cut on the laser machine. THis means that the edges of the letters will not be painted but will have a finished laser cut edge. 

The frames will have natural knots and markings. These markings create a unique touch on every frame. Due to this, the appearance of the frames may differ slightly and each piece may take the stain differently.
